Christina is looking forward to learning more PC skills and sharing her enthusiasm for the net with others.

Her background in office management and desire to be always learning are great attributes to have on this team.

Gil loves to write. Along with a local writing group, she has co-published her own works. Gil will be our roving reporter. We are particularly interested in documenting the verbal stories from people who have been around the Hills for a while. Your story leads would be appreciated. All person's named will have final approval rights before publication. Email us your ideas.

Meet theHillsOnline volunteers

Behind the scenes are theHillsOnline team:

Jock hasn't been able to throw off his nickname in more than ... how many years Jock?

Amongst other endeavours, Jock has been volunteering his time to help older people come to grips with computers in his local community. He has enjoyed this experience so much that he's putting up his hand for more.

Jock

Business woman, mum of teens and time to be involved with the site! Obviously Sonya has great organisational skills too. Sonya has a graphic arts business and was keen to develop her website design skills, so saw this as a great opportunity to do that and get to know her local community better at the same time. Being holed up in a home office means you're always close to the biscuit tin, but it has its drawbacks too.

Jared
Go to the Macquarie dictionary and look up computer nut. It says Jared.

Just plain camera shy
Avoiding the camera

We are fortunate to have a development budget for this project. This means we have accountability requirements. As the community development officer at the community house, Lisa handles these challenges admirably. Lisa took over the reins from Amy, a founding member of theHillsOnline.info Steering Group. As Amy did before her, Lisa works closely with the rest of the team to keep the website on track.

As a long time resident of the Hills, Chris has a lot of knowledge that we can draw on as the site develops. Website's are a new adventure for Chris, but one that she has adopted eagerly.

Chris works closely with the rest of the team to ensure a happy ship.

Prior to this project, Sue had very little interest or knowledge in websites, other than to use them. Sue's main interest lies in driving the developing community involvement and seeing where that can take us....

Sue is a founding member of theHillsOnline.info Steering Group and has the role of Planning and Community Liasion worker.

Never seen when the camera's out

If it wasn't for Geoff's vision, the website wouldn't exist. Persistent, up for a challenge, community minded and known for his ability to keep his diary organised are just some of Geoff's many attributes.

Geoff is the founding member of theHillsOnline.info Steering Group and is the Chair of the Group.
